"N.A. is a nonprofit Fellowship
or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem.
We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean."
--Narcotics Anonymous Basic Text ©, page 9.--
This is a simple, (although not easy) Twelve Step Program of Recovery from Drug Addiction. We attend weekly N.A. meetings, where we share about how we stay clean. We learn from each others' experiences in living life without depending on drugs to get by.
"This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership; The desire to stop using."
--Narcotics Anonymous Basic Text, page 9.--
The Twelve Steps of N.A. Help us to identify our problem and find ways to live differently. We work these Twelve Steps with the help of a sponsor. A sponsor is someone we select who has experience using the steps to deal with life
and to grow spiritually.
"We have learned from our group experience that those who keep coming to our meetings regularly stay clean."
